Maker Journal January 2025

Hello from the new blog engine - Flow! January has started slowly for me, especially after the holiday trips and the kids' school holidays. I had a short break in December, but it wasn't my usual long one since I was busy with a big freelance project.

While working on this project, I had very little energy for product development or non-work activities. My  little product focus in January was primarily on building Flow, a blog/content engine based on FilamentPHP. I've been utilizing FilamentPHP for all my projects over the past two years and truly enjoy it, which inspired the creation of Flow. Initially, I planned to develop Flow and migrate my blog to it. 

However, I soon realised that this idea was overly ambitious. At the current pace, I could be waiting until mid-2025 to complete the migration. So I changed my strategy to build my blog first, then put those good features I built back to Flow.  I will share more about this; for now, I would like to enjoy the Lunar New Year break.
