Maker Journal July 2025
Trying to recover after pushing too hard during the Bolt World’s Largest Hackathon.
I thought I’d slow down a bit—maybe do something simple, like clean up RenderTogether. I still haven’t finished the “create image from uploaded image” feature. Or maybe work on some videos for my CreatorSG brand.
I even kicked off #30DaysOfMyProducts on X, planning to post daily videos promoting my products. Turns out, creating videos is no joke. Even with the latest tools, I managed to make a few, but they still feel “not quite there” yet.
Somewhere along the way, I tried adding Craft.do into my productivity stack, only to find out it doesn’t have a Chrome extension. So I figured—why not use Product Weekend to build one? Right then, Craft launched their “email to create” feature. I combined both ideas, and ClipSend was born.
ClipSend ended up being one of the most satisfying products I’ve built in 2025. It’s a small tool that solves a real pain point, and for once, it’s not AI-related. I’m proud of the idea—it bridges integration gaps for services that still don’t have a proper Chrome extension.
That’s a wrap for my July journal.
