Maker Journal Mar 2020

Maker Journal Mar 2020

Lots of things happen since the explode of COVID-19 and my country just suddenly into partial lockdown ( Movement Control Order ). I'm still trying to keep up the changes, but I'm grateful that I been work remote so nothing much impact to my professional life, just that my personal life has been messed up by the kids at home since they no need to go school now.

Nocode Weekly

I official end this on Mar, after working on 11 demos/prototypes and miss out the last one, finally I put an end of this series. The whole mini-campaign helps me to learn a lot about #nocode and give me a very different perspective of building things. I saw some of the issues that I never have before when I create with code. Looking forward that I transform this into Maker Weekly in April.

NocoderApp & NocoderHQ

The landing page is ready there but misses out the part to build up selling flow, I have some issue with configuring PlugnPaid, and they have some major release, I need to see how to adapt the new changes for my need.

The demo is up and running, I have put the widget on my NocoderApp, I think I will need some tweak on the design, build the backend for it. I am going to use it for my site only during April and hopefully can finish the backend by May.

Rework Labs / ProductizeHQ / ProductizeSG

I did a series of sites revamp on all my company and branding site; all are running on Landen now. Removed outdated information and give each site a direction on what to focus. The only things that haven't go also live the selling part for ProductizeSG, which should be lived soon in April.

Tall Stack

Original I want to build a boilerplate based on TVIL stack, but Laravel Livewire has launched during Laracon Online, and I like it. Focus just the backend coding, and I can build SPA also. I have been converting one of the client projects from TVIL stack to Livewire, and I enjoy it. Most likely, it will be one of my essential tools this year.

What I purchase this month

I get the Integromat premium this month for testing of automation. Serverless Laravel course since it having launch promo and I want to learn more about serverless on AWS. Tailwind UI library is to help me build some better UI for my client and my product work. I bought a few dot com domain from Porkbun as well; if you are their new client, you can get a few dot com domain with cheap. Lastly, I bought an app that can help me debug Laravel app - Tinker Well using the coupon code I get it for Laracon Online.

Integromat is an easy to use, powerful tool with unique features for automating manual processes. Connect your favorite apps, services and devices with each other without having any programming skills.
