Product Weekend July 2025

Honestly, after missing Product Weekend last month (I dragged it out until the last week and ended up with last-minute work I couldn’t skip), I told myself—don’t let that happen again. This time, I actually started Product Weekend early to avoid the same mess.

What did I build? This time it’s ClipSend—a Chrome extension that grabs the current URL, strips out all the styling and ads (think: instant Readability mode), and sends the clean content straight to your email.

The setup has a backend to handle parsing and emailing, as well as the extension itself. I actually finished both during the weekend, but didn’t ship it right away because I hit a weird bug: Craft.do couldn’t parse the email’s markdown properly. No fix until I get back from a short trip.

Now the bug’s sorted, but I still need to send the extension for store review and set up the landing page. Got a couple of ideas on how to expand ClipSend into a few similar extensions, and maybe even try some monetisation angles. We’ll see how it goes over the next few months.

So yeah… that’s the update for this round. Let’s see if ClipSend can actually make my inbox (and maybe yours) a little more useful.
