Trello Link Card Extension Release

I am excited to announce the official release of my Chrome extension, Trello Link Card. This extension allows users to save the URL from their active tab to their Trello board as a Link card. Instead of displaying the card with text, it renders nicely as a clickable link.

The idea for the Trello Link Card came to me after Trello introduced the Link card feature. Surprisingly, very few Trello extensions in the market catered to this functionality. While Trello is not my primary productivity tool, I use it to organize certain aspects of my life, so I was eager to enhance my experience with this feature.

Initially, I tried to build this concept using FlutterFlow. However, exporting the code and using Flutter to create a Chrome extension proved quite complex, and ultimately, I ended up with a prototype that needed to be completed. I also explored various extension frameworks, but most seemed simple. I had even noted on my product idea board that I should refrain from pursuing extension-related ideas due to the challenges involved in building them.

Things changed when I discovered the power of coding with AI. With the help of AI tools and some experimentation using Cursor, I successfully built my first Chrome extension. While I don't say anyone can do this, having some developer knowledge and experience certainly accelerated my learning process.

Trello Link Card is just the first extension I have released, and it won't be the last. I am working on my first paid Chrome extension, which I hope to launch for Black Friday 2024. Let's hope this new extension will be a success!

Give Trello Link Card a try!
