April feels like one of those months where I’m busy the whole time, but not exactly on the things I planned. I got swamped by freelance work, so product marketing basically didn’t happen. Not ideal, but at the same time, this is part of the game. Work comes in waves, and this month I just had to ride it. So instead of pushing marketing, I shifted my energy into building—same as what I shared during Product Weekend, I spent time creating and revamping landing pages across my products, getting things into a better shape for when I’m ready to push again.

One thing I’m actually quite proud of is getting the Markdown Web extension live on the Chrome Web Store. It came together pretty fast, faster than I expected. Originally, it was just a feature within ClipSend, but as I built it, it started to feel like its own thing. And interestingly, it also gave me new angles on how ClipSend could evolve. Didn’t expect that, but turns out sometimes spinning out a small feature helps you see the bigger picture more clearly.

I also officially let go of RenderTogether this year. It’s one of those decisions that feels right but still a bit .... But then the release of ChatGPT Image 2.0 came in with really strong results, and now I’m thinking… maybe there’s still something in the image generation space for me. This time, though, I’m not rushing to build. I want to test with content first, generate images, see if there’s traction, and only then decide whether it’s worth turning it into an API service again. Trying to be a bit more disciplined here.

On the personal side, I’m back to daily writing, but keeping everything local in Obsidian now. I also set up a few simple agents to help me generate weekly and monthly summaries. Honestly, this part is quite interesting—sometimes the summaries pick up patterns or thoughts that I didn’t even realise I was writing about. Feels like having a second brain that actually reads your notes.

So for April, here’s where things stand. Markdown Web is launched, and the next step is marketing. Statify is also out —same story: needs a proper marketing push. ClipSend is still in that messy brainstorm and pivot phase, lots of ideas, but nothing locked yet. MD2Page and RebuildHQ are just sitting there for now, stable but untouched this month.

Overall, not the most “visible” progress month, but a lot happened behind the scenes. I’m still figuring things out, especially around focus and timing. Let’s see how May goes.
